Wedding Photography FAQs.
I love your wedding photographs, how can I book you?
Great we’re halfway there! I’m so happy that you love my wedding images. The next steps are to choose or create a package that suits your budget and then to have a chat to see if we are a good fit for each other.Β
What are your prices for wedding photography?
We have a variety of pre-built wedding photography packages that cover most wedding budgets and photography needs, but we don’t take a cookie-cutter approach to anything we do for our wedding clients, and so we are happy to discuss your specific wedding budget or set of photography needs and to formulate a custom wedding photography package for you if you desire.
What happens after I choose or create my wedding package?
Once you have chosen aΒ pre-built wedding package or have a clear idea of your budget and needs, the next step is to connect. We will do a deep dive into the specifics of your wedding day and how we work, and what you can and shouldn’t expect from us as your wedding photographers. This usually takes around an hour and can be done in person, over the phone, or via a Zoom/Skye/Whatsapp video call.
If we are a good fit, we will send you a wedding booking proposal, and once accepted and the deposit is paid, your wedding will be booked!
When do you photograph?
We are available to photograph weddings seven days a week.Β
We go through your wedding timeline for the day in detail and formulate a wedding photography timeline well in advance of the day. So you will know where we are and what we are photographing the entire day. We are also skilled at thinking on the fly and dealing with wedding timeline conflicts on the day as smoothly as possible.
Wedding coverage usually ends at 10 pm.
Do you do studio photography work?
If this is something you require, we can facilitate it, but generally, we work on location for wedding photography.
Who comes with to a photoshoot?
For weddings, it will usually be Gavin Higgins and a photography assistant. Some packages will include a second photographer to ensure more comprehensive coverage.Β
Can I bring friends, family or pets?
I would prefer that only the people being photographed be there for the photoshoot. I do understand, however, that there will be circumstances where others will need to be in attendance, and in these situations, I ask that they give us space and do not distract you or interfere with the shoot so that I can concentrate on getting you the best images possible. If someone is interfering with my ability to provide the required services, I reserve the right to ask them to leave.
How many photos will I receive?
The number of wedding images you can expect to receive will be stated in your chosen wedding package or your personalized quote.Β
For weddings, we generally suggest a minimum number of images as we don’t like maximums. We don’t want to withhold great memories because of a number. We will edit and provide ALL of the good ones.
It’s important to remember that the number of wedding images delivered can depend on various factors such as the number of wedding guests, the amount of time on location, receptiveness of wedding guests to being photographed, etcΒ
Do we receive the original image files?
As professional wedding photographers, every image that we deliver to our clients has been carefully selected and retouched to meet our standards of quality and style. Therefore, our RAW (or not enhanced) digital negatives are generally not available to clients. Of course, there can be exceptions to this when agreed to before the wedding and well documented in the contract. In those instances, the client has the option to purchase, for an additional fee, the exclusive copyright for our art.
Do you only photograph weddings in Tulum
Have a camera; will travel!
We are based in Tulum, Mexico, but we also photograph weddings along the entire Riviera Maya ( Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel, and Isla Mujeres ).
We are also available to photograph weddings anywhere in Mexico and internationally as destination wedding photographers upon request.
Travel, meals, accommodation, and other associated costs will need to be considered when creating your tailor-made wedding quote.
Can I create a custom wedding photography package?
Yes! We know your wedding is unique, and we are happy to formulate a wedding package that perfectly fits your needs.Β
Once you have a good idea of your wedding budget and your specific needs, you are welcome to contact us, and we will help you bring it all together to create a perfect wedding package for your wedding day.
Do you do wedding video?
No. Video is a specialized area and you should consider contracting a professional in this area if it is important to you. I can refer you to a few if you wish.

Tulum Wedding Photography
There is a reason Tulum has become such a popular destination on the Yucatan Peninsula. It’s the coming together of the history of the nearby Mayan ruins, the energy and creativity of the town, and the stunning landscape of a town where the lush green jungle meets the azure Caribbean sea and powder-white beaches.
Tulum used to be a quiet beach town, but The pull of ancient Mayan energies added to the magic of the natural wonders and historic sites have been attracting spiritually centered tourism for decades. These Days,Β Tulum has become a thriving tourism hot spot featuring modern hotels and resorts and all the amenities you could need.
Tulum is located on the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula in Quintana Roo, Mexico. Tulum is around 45 minutes south of Playa del Carmen and 90 minutes south of Cancun by road.
Tulum is famous for turquoise Caribbean waters, white-sand beaches, and world-class snorkeling and diving. Not to mention the food and parties! Your wedding guests will also have a fantastic time because there is so much to explore and do.

Playa Del Carmen Wedding Photography
Playa Del Carmen used to be a sleepy fishing village but is now a Riviera Maya destination in its own right. Its lively nightlife and boutiques complement local taquerias and chic luxury hotelsβall a bit more authentically Mexican than Cancun, just up the coast. During the day, you can head to the beach or take the ferry to Cozumel, and at night, stroll La Quinta (the city’s main pedestrian thoroughfare and center of its nightlife) for some people-watching and excellent margaritas. And that’s not all; fantastic diving and snorkeling are just offshore, while the ancient ruins of Coba tower over the inland jungles nearby.
Isla Mujeres Wedding Photography
Isla Mujeres is a beautiful, peaceful paradise island across the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women) from Cancun, Mexico. Isla Mujeres is a more laid-back and tranquil location than Cancun, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty to do! You can fill your day with water sports, shopping, exploring, and making new friends in Isla Mujeres.
Known for stunning white sand beaches, calm, clear blue waters, and some of the friendliest locals in the Mexican Caribbean.
