Tulum Maternity Photoshoot with Abriana & Nick

Back in South Africa, I probably shot more maternity than any other genre of photography. I absolutely love it and it suits my gentle nature, so when Abriana reached out to me I was so happy to work with her and her husband Nick. They were visiting from New York on a little pre-baby vacation and wanted to get some photos while they were down here.

The weather over that week was all over the place with a lot of rain in the days leading up to the shoot. Even on the day of the shoot we had to wait in the car for the rain to stop before we could start the shoot. But we were so lucky, not only did the rain stop, but the clouds even parted to let a little sun through for us! The combination of the lovely soft light and dramatic skies made for a striking set of images.

Abriana and Nick were so much fun to work with and the conversation flowed from start to finish. They were so relaxed with me and each other it made for a really great shoot. I’m so happy we got to do this shoot together and even more delighted they love their photos!
