Tulum is conveniently located around 90 minutes South of Cancun. Once your plane lands, there are a wide variety of transport options available, from taxis and busses to luxury rental cars. 1. Visit the Mayan Ruins

Tulum is home to the ancient Mayan Ruins of a pre-Columbian walled city perched atop a 12 Meter (39 foot) cliff above the blue Caribbean sea. This is a must-see when visiting Tulum!

2. Visit a cenote

From the popular Gran Cenote with its mix of caves, caverns, and an open-air cenote and Cenote Dos Ojos, a magnet for divers, to the open waters of Cenote Zacil-Ha and Cenote Carwash, there are some fantastic cenotes near Tulum just waiting to be explored.

3. Visit the beaches

The Tulum coastline stretches over 10 miles from the Tulum ruins to Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. The beaches here are all exquisite, with sugar-white, powdery sand and water that is bright azure to turquoise from a distance and crystal clear when you’re in it.

4. Visit the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve

A sublime area of natural beauty, Sian Ka’an is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna, which is why the region became a designated Biosphere Reserve in 1986. A year later, Sian Ka’an was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and it remains the largest protected area in the Mexican Caribbean.

Have a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Tulum Tower and fly up to 35 meters (118 feet) in the air.  Spend 30 minutes at the top, taking in the gorgeous scenery of the area and its archeological ruins.
